Return to your daily skin care routine 24 hours after skin resurfacing treatments. No downtime for all other treatments.
Laser treatment (generally used on African Americans, Asians, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, Hispanics/Latino, and brown people), avoid sun exposure for one week prior, during, and one week after treatment. Laser treatment (generally for Caucasians), avoid sun exposure for at least four weeks priors, during and at least four weeks after final treatments. Exposure decreases the effectiveness of the laser treatment and may increase the probability of post-treatments complications.
The laser is not advised for those using ingredients that can thin the skin. Topical vitamin A users should wait 1 week to 3 months depending on strength. Accutane users must wait 1 year. Those using hydroxy acids should discontinue use 72 hours prior to treatment. It is advised that clients be clean-shaven prior to treatments.
Apply post-treatment ointment if necessary. Hydrocortisone is best and please avoid Neosporin. No shaving for 48-72 hours after treatment. No tweezing, waxing, or use of depilatories. Wear sun protection. A broad-spectrum (UVA/UVB) sunscreen of SPF 30 or greater should be applied to the area being treated whenever exposed to the sun. Remember that swelling, redness, and soreness are common. Gently pat the area day. Do not rub with a towel or washcloth when bathing. Discomfort, such as swelling or redness (lasting from a few hours to a couple of days) can be relieved with acetaminophen and/or cooling devices. If make up is allowed, it must be applied and removed delicately. Excess rubbing can open the area and increase the change of scarring.

Acne Treatments
Venus Versa™ acne treatments use Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) with SmartPulse™ technology to treat both the underlying cause and the visible symptoms of acne. It uses a combination of blue and red light delivered simultaneously-the blue light destroys acne-causing bacteria, while the red light controls inflammation and promotes faster healing. At the same time, a real-time cooling system works on contact to keep your skin continuously protected from the heat.
Skin Resurfacing
Venus Versa™ skin resurfacing treatments work by using tiny pins to safely deliver heat (via NanoFractional Radio Frequency) through the surface of the skin. This creates very small micro-dermal wounds, which your body naturally heals on its own. The process works to repair signs of skin damage that are visible on the surface, such as scars from acne or injury, deep wrinkles, enlarged pores, uneven skin texture, and pigmentation.Since the wounds are so small, the treatment is much more comfortable than traditional CO2 lasers, while still producing incredibly visible results.
